Our New Curriculum Server Solution

We now have the second school piloting our new curriculum server solution, and the feedback so far is very positive. We have one more pilot school having our solution installed before the school holidays and will hopefully be looking to offer this to all schools from the Autumn term. The Curriculum server system provides a file and printer sharing solution ideal for infant, junior and primary schools.

Based on Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 technologies, we are aiming to offer schools an affordable system that is reliable, secure and simple to use.

Offering bespoke configurations tailored to your school, we believe its flexibility is an excellent choice compared to the alternatives.
Using Windows 7 or Windows XP and requiring limited hardware upgrades, schools can utilise their existing PCs without the expense of replacing their equipment.

With features including:
• Stable and secure user desktops
• Shared folder areas for each user, year group and entire school
• Shared folders between admin and curriculum networks
• Print server benefits
• SIMS access for teachers
• Centralized anti-virus and windows updates
• Remote Access from our head office to all PCs
• Software roll-outs

We are currently testing our new system and will be starting a pilot scheme with a small number of schools starting in April.
From talking to many schools, we believe that our new solution is exactly what they have been looking for and hope to offer the service very soon.

What the pilots schools have said:
"It was a real benefit having the technicians on site during the transition, which was smooth and efficient."
"Babcock 4S did an extremely good job!"
"The change to Windows 7 has been remarkably simple and straightforward. I have found my way through it very easily and can use it effectively."
