Windows 7

Windows 7 is the latest version of Microsoft Windows and was released in October 2009.

Recently most computers and laptops have been purchased with Windows 7 licence but downgraded the software to Windows XP.

We currently support Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit on the Admin side as long as the latest Autumn upgrade for Sims has been completed.   However when purchasing new machines or licences we recommend selecting Windows 7 32 bit.

Reasons and benefits of upgrading or having Windows 7 on your machines are:

• Loads programs and boots or shuts down faster
• Easier to navigate and multitask
• Greater stability
• Enhanced security
• Multi-touch capabilities

Also when purchasing new equipment with Windows 7 installed, you are future proofing them by having the latest technology, Windows XP has been out since 2001.
