About Bill Davies

Bill Davies, Leaders in Growth Ltd

Bill’s career has combined working in the public and private sectors; as a headteacher, education, local authority and government adviser. He is now an independent consultant specialising in the development of leaders and the transformation of organisations in education, commerce and industry.

The positive impact of Bill’s work has been recognised at the highest levels in commerce, the DfE and by leaders throughout the education system. In the last year he was commissioned to develop a new range of National Professional Qualifications for senior and executive school leaders, which is now available nationally.

Bill designs and leads initiatives which ensure a positive, professional culture in organisations. This enables community engagement and improved outcomes.

About Louisa Baczor

Louisa Baczor, Research Advisor, CIPD

Louisa Baczor joined the CIPD in 2015, specialising in research on professionalism in HR. She is also currently leading on a project exploring the future of employee voice. With an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Louisa studied the evolving role of HR and impact on trust during a Master’s at the University of Bath.

About Darren Newman

Darren Newman, Employment Law Specialist, In-Company Training Services Ltd

Darren has been an employment lawyer in a variety of roles for almost 30 years. He has worked extensively for IDS and LexisNexis and is the former Head of Employment Law and Social Affairs for the Chemical Industries Association. He is now a consultant editor for XpertHR and runs his own training and consultancy business, providing training, research and advice for a wide range of public and private sector organisations.

He is the author of the ‘Range of Reasonable Responses’ blog which looks at employment law stories making the news and also has a series of podcasts looking at the classic employment law cases of the past.

About Karen Wespieser

Karen Wespieser, Director of Operations, Driver Youth Trust

Karen’s background is as a social researcher and she has led research in the education sector for over ten years. Most recently, she was Head of Impact at the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) and Director of the Centre for Education Economics (CfEE). She is skilled in qualitative and quantitative research and has a passion for increasing and communicating the use of evidence in education with the aim of impacting on the lives and outcomes of young people. She is the founder of #UKEdResChat, a regular Twitter chat for those interested in all aspects of educational research. Karen is also a school governor and a mum to two mini-piesers.
