Safeguarding

Section 175 of the Education Act 2002 places a duty on local authorities and schools' governing bodies to make arrangements for carrying out their functions with a view to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Carrying out statutory safeguarding duties is an imperative for every school, academy and MAT and critical within the current Ofsted Inspection Framework. We can support your school community to ensure that you are compliant with local and national expectations and giving you peace of mind that you have access to the most current safeguarding information and advice, policies and procedures, ensuring you are aware of changes to legislation including guidance on implementation. Effective Safeguarding needs to be proactive with clearly understood systems across the establishment. We work with you to ensure this transpearency of responsibility within clear and shared roles across the community.

Our team that deliver safeguarding have many years' experience of safeguarding across school phases including that of headship, safeguarding lead, within a governor role or as an Ofsted inspector.
